EMDR
EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION and REPROCESSING

Many people suffer from invisible emotional wounds caused by traumatic life experiences. These can manifest as anxiety, depression, or addiction, leaving individuals feeling isolated and unsure of where to turn — even with support from loved ones.

One highly effective treatment for trauma is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, a method endorsed by the American Psychological Association. Developed by Francine Shapiro in 1989, EMDR uses guided eye movements to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories, reducing their emotional impact.

Compared to traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR is equally effective — with an 80% success rate — but works 50–66% faster and has a lower dropout rate.

At our practice, we use EMDR to help clients heal deeply and efficiently. Just as the body heals physical wounds when irritants are removed, the mind can also recover from emotional trauma when mental blocks are addressed. EMDR activates the brain’s natural healing processes, allowing clients to move forward with confidence and peace.
EMDR INTENSIVES
The 5-day intensive treatment plan is a unique approach founded on the belief that dysfunctional behavior is rooted in childhood trauma. Trauma is described as any threat to our system that we are not prepared to handle. This treatment model utilizes EMDR to access those moments in a person’s life when they did not get their needs met. Our 5-day intensive treatment plans are equivalent to 18-24 months of weekly therapy, and have proven to be extremely effective and efficient.
